Parallax- Chapter 11

White. Nothing but white. When it faded, there was nothing but desert. Not the sandy dune desert one may think, but rather, dried and dead land. Far in the distance could be seen what looked like a stone temple...

Church was the first to come to. He climbed back to his feet, wearing his formal milirary suit, along with the other troops. Whereas Keenly, and her friends were wearing their school uniforms, and then Sergio, John, and the others were wearing only t-shirts and jeans. Faust was back the way he should be, and Duma was too, somehow surviving...

"Where are we?"

Slowly getting up. "What... What?" Examining himself and the others

"Our weapons! They're gone!!" Church exclaimed in shock.

"Damn....wait you killed me church.....but im still alive,weird"

"What in hell happened?"

"You never managed to meet your end, my stupid, stupid friend..." the King said, standing a few dozen meters away...

"you....you did this!" duma said standing tall

He smirked, "Phantom Teleport. That is an old, old Azuran system. So much so, that you, Chiyoko, would not even know what it is. Nor anyone else from your period. I brought you all here for a reason. Trial!"

"What do you mean, trial?"

"but why?"

"Just as I have tested the Cazanans, and the Dronoks; I must test you also. You had managed to inflict damage upon my flesh, the first in nearly five-thousand years... You are worthey of this test, however, you mustn't think with your weapon, but your mind, and fight not with your blade, but with your spirit!"

"Well, whatever the test might be, I'm sure that we can handle it."

"this is a difficult road ahead"

"This is not to be taken lightly... It has taken a thousand years to build the Cazanans, and the Dronoks to the strength they are at now."

"I say we can do it sooner"

"I'm feeling confident about our team."

"church what do ya say can we do it faster?"

"I say we should kill this guy!!" he said, running up.

The King stepped out of the way, tripping him, "And if you kill me, than go back to your lives, there will be no last line of defence when they come... Or is that what you want? Do you just want to return to your lives?"

"i think we should let the king help us...he seems sincere"

"Well, whatever. When do we start the test?"
