Parallax- Chapter 7

"Yeah, then we need to get moving..."

"Ugh.... I"m never fighting THOSE things again. He melted my rocket launcher!"

"Can you run? Or at least limp quickly?"

"Maybe..."

"Alright, lets go!" she said, running from the tunnel, and into the streets. She ran to the cover of a dumpster.

Shali hurried after her.

Sergio quickly caught up

A stream of plasma went down the road, then a stream of machine gun fire returned.

"Okay, we need to find the anti-orbit cannons..."

"And where would those be located?"

"Not a clue..."

"So uh... Lets look around and find it?"

"Yeah... A cannon-like structure, hundreds of meters tall, or at least something one could fit in..."

Sergio looked around and surveyed the landscape, looking for some such structure

Off in the mountains there was an array of what looked like cannons.

"Kay.. Looks like there's something in the mountains. Maybe we should make our way there."

"Alright. Stay close!" Sayoko broke cover, and once in the middle of the street, was shot by plasma rounds, and fell to the ground.

"SONUVA...!" Sergio waits for the firing to die down, then grabs the unconscious body and drags it behind cover of the dumpster

"GODS DAMNIT!"

"I wonder if Hiromi has another body for me... Heh..."

"Oh good, you're alive! Can you move?"

"Please say yes."

"Yeah, but I'm probably a bit fried up, right?" she said, straining to stand.

*out from his hiding place he fires the 70/c into the enemies*

"That would be John. Hey, John! I've got grenades!" Shali called, grinning.

*keeps firing into the the enemies picking them off one at a time*
