Parallax- Chapter 10

Shali's attacks missed the King, and the explosives were cought, and closed inside his palm as if nothing more than wads of paper...

"What!?" Church was shocked.

"Reflex Swordsmen..." Chiyoko said, somehow knowing...

The swordsmen walked forward, then began so seemingly teleport short distances. One swung and Duma, another at Shali, yet another at John, and one at Chiyoko, who managed to easily kill her attacker, but more were waiting...

*blocks with the shield and slashes back with the plasma sword*

Sergio focused on the swordsman attacking Duma, firing in bursts.

Shali blasted her attacker.

Duma blocks the attack with her dagger.

Sergio now aimed for the head of Shalis attacker and fired.

The swordsmen ducked under Johns attack, tripping him, while the one attacking Shali dodged to behind her and hit her over the head with the hilt. Whereas the swordsman attacking Duma was brought down by Sergio before he could complete his attack...

The others waited...

"Okay... This is weird..." Keenly said...

"Ya its like there wearing us down"

"Why are they just waiting? If they wanted to wear us down they could easily just come at us in large numbers..."

their buying time?
*catches himself scrambles back up and sheild bashes the damn sword guy*
on second thought we should get moving outta here

duma whispers to keenly *what if we blow the ship?*

"What is this mockery!?" Keenly finally yelled, "Are we not worthy of your full attention? Then we'll make ourselves so..."

Duma backs away from keenly and goes over to sergio "Dude get a med pod ready"

"What the hell are you going to do?" He asked, switching his HC for the Dart, and finding a med pod.

"watch keenly for me ok" Duma says shooting at some far off gaurds "i think shes about to do something stupid"

"you're probably right..."

keenly can hold her own better then we can
*powers down and puts away his plasma sword and pulls out the plasma rifle and begins firing*

Duma runs to john and starts firing her blaster "john do you have any ideas as to how to get out of here alive?"

maybe we make one of the big guns backfire and run like hell as its powering up?

"how are we going to get everyone back to a ship and hyper jump all at once and within the time?"

I dunno but if it can blow up a planet its gotta have one helluva charge up time

"It's got to." Sergio said, approaching them, firing the Dart at another Swordsman.

"ok lets let them do there thing this plan well set as a back up" She says as she shots another gaurd
