Parallax- Chapter 12

*Melchior shrugged*
"I've seen some people become REAL crazy sons of bitches drunk, what makes you special?"
*He polishes off the bottle and leaves*
"whatever, I'm gonna give this place another go at salvaging."
*returns to the underground bunker, finding his way back to the room he was in.*

Naomi was already standing at the personnel bay of John's firefox, "Let's go!"

*Melchior barely hears the shout of Naomi*
"Hmmm?"
* He turns around and returns to the entrance.*

"First.. The beer?" Shali turned to Mechlior.

*sigh*
"Somehow I feel I'm going to regret this..."
*Reluctantly hands Shali his second-to-last beer*

A few Naga appeared from the treeline to investigate...

Sergio emerged from the bunker with The Protectron, seeing Naomi at Johns Firefox, and finding Melchior and Shali at the entrance.

"So, I guess this little mission was a complete flop, not even a nickel for going half-way across the planet..."

"What are you people doing?" one asked.

"Oh, Um, since your people don't feel like getting with the times we've just decided to leave right... Guys?"

* He steps back, with a bit of fear in his step."

Sergio stepped over, putting away his weapon, "We were brought here to try for diplomatic negotiations with the Nagas, so that both races residing on the planet could prosper." trying to be respectful

"ya thats about it i supose" Said duma leaving the bunker

"...Where were you that whole time?"

"i dont know"

"Okaaay Then.... Guys, they already turned down the offer once, let's just go home."

"Fuck that weve never failed a mission why start now!"

"What do you mean? We can't force them to like us."

"maybe we can somehow trade for there coroperation"

"Okay, what are you people talking about?" the other asked.

"We talked to a naga in gray robes with a couple of guards earlier and they turned down an offer for negotiations and they declined. That's pretty much why we're here in the first place."

"but but did you try to earn their trust?"

"Nope, the guy who was paying us to do it gave up, so why bother anymore... This isn't anything to stick our neck out over."

"Hello?"

*Turns to face the naga*
"Oh, sorry. A bit of a disagreement among the group here, eh heh~..."

*now engaging in conversation with the naga*
"So, do you think there's any way we could still get some sort of talks going?"
