Parallax- Day 2

((In crossing))

"Are you alright?"

"Agh... I'm pretty sure. Hmm." He slowly got up and walked out of the street, limping.
((wait am I still on the crutches too?))

((Nope, it's been more than a day))

((okay, then you're not that cruel a person to have someone on crutches get hit by a car.

The car speeds off, and a Cazanan Marine that saw what happened decided to fire a rocket at it.

(( WTF?! )) Sergio stared at the rocket flying towards the car "What... oh wow."

Erika stared in shock and awe.

"Hey," he said, "Hit and runs are a pain in the ass to track down, so why not just hit 'em with a anti-tank rocket to stop 'em up?"

"AWESOME!" Erika yelled.

"Well... That certainly works... I guess... A little harsh maybe though?"

"Well, Force-Enlistment is harsh too, and that's one of the main penalties... And I was really bored, and I think that same guy's been doing that crap all week..." the Marine said, "That was the only time I had a clear shot too! The streets are damn empty around here right now!"

"Ah... Well, we do what we have to. And they DID screw up my legs... again... And that WAS pretty awesome."

Shali smiled, a grin spreading across her face. "How can I get into Force-Enlistment?"

"Any crime against the Cazanan Military, or a civilian crime of large enough proportions..."

"Why are the streets so empty right now?" Erika asked.

"Big band is in town, and everyone's at the arena downtown for their concert."

"Shali, why would you want to be force enlisted?" Sergio was now slightly concerned about the health of everyone around him

Shali grimaced. "I want to blow things up."

"I am a Sergeant, I should be able to FE you all... Just to be safe though, you'll need to kick me or something..." He said.

Shali grinned. "Somehow I think you're joking."

"I'd assume so, just to be safe..."

"Well, I don't remember if they've changed the enlistment age from eighteen to sixteen yet, so... Well I guess you could ask at the Academy." he stated.

Shali stuck her tongue out at Sergio. "You're just scared of me because I threatened to stab that guy who was following us. He should have known better then to bug a girl with daggers."

"Okay, you have a point. Only a bit, but still a point."

"I don't know what you people are saying... I'm just going to leave now..." he said.

Shali laughed. "Betcha you're scared of what I'd do with explosives."

"I'm thinking you'd definitely win THAT bet."

"No... I'm scared of you mental hea-"

An explosion roared above them at the top of a nearby tower, raining chunks of concrete, metal and glass down upon them.

"What the hell is that!?" Moving to try to avoid falling debris
