Parallax- Day 4- Civilian

"Here, have a grenade." Shali said, handing him one.

Nick took the grenade, and contemplated using it. "If I miss, shit gets blown up...like people." He said blankly. "I'm not all too accurate, especially at this distance."

A frag bounced around the side of the building.

Nick quickly ran up and along the wall, deeper into the alley, avoiding the first frag (I'm sure there's more, aint there Squird?).

Shali jumped deeper into the alley way, avoiding the grenades. "Heh. Smart of her, but I've play unreal 3."

Then a rain of launcher grenades came from above!

"That's the oldest trick in the book!" Shali yelled, jumping out of the alley way. She got hit a by a grenade. "Ow."
((As in, it hit her head but didn't detonate.))

((Launcher grenades detonate on impact, can be long range, so arcing it over a nearby building is easy if you can aim it))

Nick ducked a bit, and timed and threw one of his flashbang grenades above him, hoping to time it so that his and any too close will meet and explode in mid air, reducing fire and shrapnel (if any) damage on him.

Shali fell unconscious.

One of the next wave of grenades hit the Flashbang, only to cause part of the building above to come down also...

((Cool...the building would collapse inward, seeing as the force is from the outside, in the alley. As long as the building isn't ancient, or retarded, it would also remain up.))

Nick grabbed Shali, and ran into the building, through the hole in the wall. He made sure to avoid windows and doors, for fear of sniper shot.

Zoil jumped from the roof, landing on the ground, and ran into the building... ((OIAT armor FTW))

Shali blinked. "My head.."

The door blew open...

((Not the best idea. Wasting her skill points on accuracy made her a formidable foe from afar, yes, but up close, even with good armor, her resistance and evasion still suck, making her much weaker))

Nick timed and threw a flashbang grenade at her, to stall. He turned to the unconscious Shali, and slapped her in the face. "WAKE UP!"

Shali blinked. "Ow." She said, shooting towards the door with her blaster.

"Good. You're awake." Nick said to Shali. He than withdrew a knife, and a flashbang grenade.

((I think Squird's gone. I'll come back tomorrow.))

She kicked the flashbang out of the way, and shot the blaster from Shali's hand, "WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT WITH ME!?"

"Well..." Nick said, really just thinking out loud. He pondered only a moment, then continued. "I had something important for you. I was hired to deliver a message, and seeing as you're on the bounty list, I have a feeling it's of grave importance." He said, faking an ominous tone quite well. "But, you ran off, and I can't get paid until the message is delivered, so I chased." He told her. "THEN you pulled a damn gun, and threw grenades at me!" He said, in an almost hurt/shocked tone. "What the fuck?"

He was used to lying, and this was sounding like a believable story. He was sure she would ask about Shali shooting at her, or the fact he drew knives and a pistol, but he had already thought up of excuses for those actions too. He knew, however, if he spilled himself out in those explanations, he would sound desperate or nervous, making the story less believable. HE awaited her reaction.

"Wait... I'm on the bounties list?"

"No..." Nick said, playfully shaking his head. "You're name and picture are just on the message board with DoA written near it, and a price for you, because it's like some advertisement for a new website." He said sarcastically. "YES, YOU'RE ON THE BOUNTY LIST!" He yelled, contradicting his sarcasm on purpose.

"Damn it, Quaran... Okay, how about this? I'll pay you each double if you help me kill the guy that put the bounty on me, deal?"

Nick rolled his eyes. "Maybe...what's his info?" He asked.

"I don't remember... I just know where that idiot lives..."
