Parallax- Day 4- Civilian

Zoil looked up, seeing as someone fell from the top of the Torrent, "I think we have control of the Torrent!!"

((Just shoot the Lancers to signal allies, and to try and kill them before they get you))

Nick looked over the controls quick, remembered some Mechs before like this, and thought he had the idea. He cracked his knuckles, took a drag on the cigarette, took aim, and fired at a Lancer.

Some of the Lancer's armor was blown off, then it turned and began running at Nick's Torrent.

Nick's hands ran faster over the control's keyboard and triggers than a professional, and he fired multiple missiles, while having the Mech run backwards, so the explosions wouldn't hit him as hard.

((Doing it right?))

The Lancer's chest exploded, and it toppled forward just before it had been in range. The other Lancer say this...

((Minus the shields, yes))

Nick quickly scanned for another enemy Mech, and fired at that as well. Inside the cockpit, he was sweating. "Damn things need AC."

((Okay...no shields))

((Tried a joke there. You'd think he was sweating out of nervousness, but he was really just hot out of heat and excitement.))

"Okay, pilot!" came one of the Cazanans over the radio, "Can you hear me?"

The Lancer lunged swinging it's blade in for the kill.

Nick noticed the Lancer in time, and tried to get out of the way in time, while almost flipping his Mech, firing like crazy at the new Lancer all the while.

One of the blades severed part of the housing around the left shoulder of the Torrent, but was cut short when the Lancer's arm was blown off.

A Cazanan Fury-class Mobile Suit fired a continuous stream of fire into the Lancer until it exploded.

She grinned, and aimed at any and every enemy.

"We've secured the outside. We should press forward!" someone said.

"Sorry about that." Nick said into the radio. "Pilot, Mercenary Class, Nicodemus Ulysses Nova, reporting in. Yes, I can hear you." He said. "Oh, and thanks for the save."

"Don't--" and the Fury exploded...

"What the hell was that!?" Zoil yelled.

"What the..." Nick muttered. "HELLO! IS ANYBODY THERE?!" Nick yelled into the mic.

"Black market tech?" someone asked.

"Probably," said another.

"Hello?!" Nick asked into the mic.

"Can you see anything from up there?" the radio buzzed.

"Up there?" Nick asked. "I'm only in a Torrent."

((I thought they weren't that big?))

"So the hill ahead of you is still above you?"

((Torrents are about... 15 or so meters tall))

"Uhh..." Nick mumbled, looking. "That's a yes. All I see is the battle below." He said.

((Is it?))

"Really?" Nick asked into the mic, annoyed. He took another drag, cracked his knuckles again, and did a quick scan of his suit. It had only taken a little damage, and was still good on ammo. "Sure...I guess. Why not?"

"What lousey luck"

"Who are you? How'd you get here?" Zoil asked.

"Oh, it's mister annoying."
